We Must Got 10 from 10 !

Two years ago the illiteracy rate in Iraq increased by 20%. This could be as a result of the successive wars and declining financial situations experienced by some families, especially those who lost their parents and also the large number of displaced people from several provinces after the isis crisis. A group of young people belonging to the volunteer team Iraq Builders decided to change this painful reality. Iraq Builders created an educational branch within the team to teach children who are failing in school and need help with their studies. Engaged in this branch were a number of volunteers […]

A Self-denial Lesson

By Leen Alqudsi. Every girl dreams of the big day, thinks about the white beautiful dress that she will wear and how will be her wedding party celebrating this important life event with family and friends. Who may decide to to give up one of his/her dreams for someone else, for poor people, maybe? Ala’a is a typical girl, with master degree, has a job, a volunteer with IRAQ Builders team and, as many literate and educated young women, works on self-realization. Ala’a was engaged to Mustafa, who has conformable thoughts of her. As many couples, they even dreamt about […]

The Dawn of Hope

He was a lifeless body, his time of death was declared and almost got thrown in the morgue–not until a police officer noticed Abu Ahmed was moving his finger. The police officer grabbed on of the physicians to revive him and stabilize him. Abu Ahmed spent a considerable amount oh his time afterwards in hospital wards getting treatment. He lost his ability to talk along with one of his eyes, and the one left a tumor metastasized in it and complex surgery is required abroad to save it. Abu Ahmed’s family lived in a very dangerously deteriorating house, that is […]

Till now 37 charity markets were held in many different places and continued. After all this success the idea got […]

Impossible wish!

Translated by Samar Shareef. Hassoni, what do you want to become when you grow up? -“I want nothing in life but to see my father again”. That is the answer of Hussein (10 years) whom father was killed five months ago while defending our home land. Leaving behind a widow, three daughters and two boys. The Noble Dream of Zahraa

By Ahmed Algharawi, translated by Hasanain Mohammed. Zahraa is an orphaned girl, because of the ignorance and criminality; she was prevented from the love of her father, and forced to struggle with her mother against the life. She is responsible for a total of six orphans. When we were working, I have noticed that Zahraa was offering help as much as she could, I think that her image didn’t leave my mind because she is as the age of my daughter Hawraa, or may be her innocent voice which is innocent as her heart, or may be her pure eyes […]

The Death Crossing

By Leen Alqudsi It’s the 21st century, age of technology, medicine, education, art, and modern lifestyle advancement that it couldn’t be possible to live without keeping pace with. Who will think or just imagine to leave his house and go to live in a tent away in a desert?!, no one will, but unfortunately there are many thousands people who thought about that and now they are living in tents with their children without a house, a car, clothes, blankets, beds, food, just without nothing. Those families have been displaced because of the bad security situation in there cities, because […]

Born Of Hope

By Leen Alqudsi Who says that the birth is just a new soul comes out to life.. the birth may also be a life comes out from the womb of death, a hope is born from the despair . The 13th of May, 2015 at night, one of the offices of the Sunni Endowment was burned and the near houses were burned and damaged too. A new try to tear the Iraqi unity, but they failed, the effect of destruction was a cohesion point instead of separation. The black walls and the damaged street were the place where a new […]

We always ask the widow to take a rest while her house is being built but she refuses telling […]
